Evidence In Motion (EIM) is proud to announce that the Augustana University Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) program has received full accreditation from the Commission on Accreditation in Physical Therapy Education (CAPTE). This achievement follows the graduation of the program's inaugural cohort in May 2025.
"This milestone would not have been possible without the dedication, expertise, and collaboration that EIM has consistently brought to the table," said Matt Volansky, PT, DPT, PhD, MBA, FAMIA., Dean of the School of Health Professions at Augustana University.
"From strategic guidance to operational alignment, their contributions have been instrumental in helping us navigate the complexities of accreditation and build a high-quality program that will serve students, and the communities they go on to serve, for years to come."
The Augustana DPT program launched in partnership with EIM in 2023. Built on a hybrid accelerated model, the program combines evidence-based online coursework with hands-on immersive lab experiences and clinical education.
This structure is designed to deliver high-quality preparation for future physical therapists while increasing access to health care education in South Dakota and beyond.
"Full accreditation marks an important milestone not only for Augustana, but for every EIM team member who contributed to this program's success," said David Eby, CEO of EIM. "It reflects the strength of our partnership, the talent of the faculty and staff, and our shared commitment to transforming health care education."
CAPTE accreditation confirms that the program meets the standards necessary to prepare students for professional practice and licensure eligibility. Graduates of the Augustana DPT program are now fully qualified to sit for the National Physical Therapy Examination and enter the workforce as licensed clinicians.
