Wilson College has opened applications for its first Doctor of Occupational Therapy program, expanding its health care education offerings. The program’s first cohort starts in January 2026 and aims to prepare students to lead in Occupational Therapy roles through an accessible and innovative approach.
Expanding Access to High-Quality Education
The program combines online coursework with in-person training, allowing students to study from anywhere in the country.
"The addition of this program furthers our mission to innovatively provide high-quality, affordable education while offering students access to a high-demand field that will ultimately benefit both them and their communities," said Wilson College President Wesley R. Fugate.
Students complete coursework online and fieldwork in their home communities, traveling to the Philadelphia area eight times over two years for lab immersions.
A Vision for Excellence in Occupational Therapy
The program emphasizes both clinical competence and leadership development.
"Wilson College's commitment to academic excellence and innovation has provided the foundation for a curriculum that not only prepares students for clinical success but also inspires them to become transformative leaders in the field of occupational therapy," said Michael Gerg, program director.
With this launch, Wilson College reinforces its dedication to providing accessible educational pathways in high-demand health care fields. The program represents a significant expansion of the college's academic portfolio.
